Comments: On Snow Patrol's final night of support, some of the U2 crew join them on stage to sing "Shut Your Eyes" and give lead singer Gary Lightbody a white, feathered boa. For the first time, U2 opens its set with a song other than "Breathe." That song is dropped altogether, also a first. "Vertigo" includes a bit of "Stories for Boys," just like on the Vertigo tour, and sees Bono wearing a pair of devils' horns. A girl comes on stage during "Until the End of the World," and they're standing on separate bridges during the climax of the song. Bono starts yelling "bridges" and tells the girl to stay where she is. The crew eventually figures out that Bono wants the bridges brought close together as he reaches out for the girl, without touching her -- thus starting a scene that will be used throughout the rest of the tour, but with Edge taking the girls' place on the bridge opposite Bono. Ashley Judd is at the show, as is NFL star Tom Brady.
