Comments: After rumors spread of a secret U2 gig in Boston a night earlier -- rumors that the band put to rest via its official Twitter account -- the band takes the stage tonight for the very not-a-secret third of four shows at TD Garden.

Bono tells a funny story after "I Will Follow" about The Edge being turned away at a local bar the night before because he didn't have any ID.

After another afternoon soundcheck, "The Crystal Ballroom" finally gets its second performance of the tour. U2 had planned to play it in Toronto on July 7, but a sudden guitar problem forced the band to drop it that night. Tonight's version includes a lengthy snippet of The Rolling Stones "Miss You." (It's also listed as a snippet before "Elevation" because Larry begins playing "Crystal Ballroom" on accident.)

The setlist shakeup that premiered at the previous Boston show is used again tonight: "With Or Without You" and "City Of Blinding Lights" are moved up in the setlist ahead of "Bullet The Blue Sky" and "Pride."

Bono sings a snippet of "People Have The Power" after the entire band has left the stage.

Mike Love of the Beach Boys is at the show.
