"The others don't count me as a musician. In fact the only way to get Edge to play the guitar is when I start playing it."

This was our first show of this new tour and after having attended many shows dating back to my first in 2001, this was the second worst audop performance we've seen them give.  (Glendale 2005 was awful, awful).  The problems were three fold.  One, and the biggest was the absolute fail in their engineers to get the sound right.  Bono sounded like a 12 year old girl most of the night, it was too loud for the relatively small space.  That volume may have worked in an outdoor venue, but it was simply overblown and affected our enjoyment greatly.  The thing that was amazing was that engineering never seemed to get it and it was the same all night.  We sat up relatively high, but also talked to people on the floor who felt the same.

second, Bono was not into it.  We've seen this before, some nights hes on and some nights hes off.  We thought he was off.

third, the crowd responded accordingly and it was amazing to watch the GA crowd motionless throughout most of the show.  That being said, that particlar set list was not overly engertetic to begin with which contribited to the flatness of the energy.

The audio/energy problems aside, the artisty and stage show were off the charts.  The idea of splitting the crowd and running a catwalk down the center to a second stage is brilliant, the video display with the band able to enter and be part of the displays were mindblowing and cutting edge.  The visuals helped compensate for the audio problems and though it was not our favorite show ever, it was ok.  Thank God for night number 2.
