"I have fallen off stage on a couple of occasions. The first thing is to protect the guitar, because you can fix an ankle, you can fix a bruise, but when you break a guitar that's the end of it."

It was a brisk evening, the last day of October, and a day that I had been waiting a long time for. The U2 concert was finally here. As they entered the Pontiac Silverdome and strutted through the crowd to the enormous stage, I felt my anticipation rising even more until they began the incredible show. In what was the the best concert I have ever been to, U2 rocked the Dome for nearly 2 hours. The performance was perfect, with every one of Larry's beats in perfect time, each one of the Edge's melodic guitar licks cutting like a knife, and Adam's brilliant bass phrases forming a perfect backing to Bono's exciting voice.

The set list was a great mix of new and old, including many songs from POP such as "Mofo" "Last Night on Earth" "Discotheque" and "Staring at the Sun." Such old favorites such as "I Will Follow" "Bullet the Blue Sky" "Pride in the Name of Love" and a stunning solo acoustic performance of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by the Edge. The concert had superior lighting and a stage that allowed everyone in the stadium to see what was going on. The video screen went hand in hand with every song, giving each one a particular mood.

With the crowd on its feet for the entire show, U2 put on quite an exciting performance. The concert was everything I had anticipated and more. Thank you U2, for a night I will never forget.
