"I'm a minimalist at heart. If a song doesn't need a solo, I'm not going to force one into it."

First of all, my seats were horrible. I had the absolute top row of Soldier Field. 100 yards away. But, U2 was incredible! Like everyone has been saying - the stage setup was huge. I loved the opening when the band appeared on the screen and they emerged from the crowd.

The new songs had their own new twist - but the old songs were awesome! Especially the big four: Pride, Still haven't found what I'm Looking for, With or Without you, and Where the streets have no name. I was reminded of the movie version of Where the streets have no name on Rattle and Hum when U2 was in Arizona and the lights hit the crowd from the aerial view (incredible!!)...

One negative note - I didn't like how they ended with One - and I would have loved to hear Sunday bloody Sunday. I made it to the first two Chicago shows and they were both incredible - with the second a little better because I was on the floor and the band did more of the "little things" to make the show better. All I can say is that I am planning on getting more tickets for future shows!
