"It's almost Communism in a way. Not that there's this sort of artificial 'everything must be equal thing,' it's just the respect for everybody, and that really counts, I think."

My first time ever seeing U2! Ash did an alright support set, their songs might sound similar but at least they were upbeat. It took a while to kick in for me when U2 came on, I’m not really a fan of the last three albums but once they’d got to I Still Haven’t Found the place certainly woke up. The premiere of Wild Horses was excellent, I noticed the band attacked it with a bit more vigour than some of the more regular songs. Songs of the night have to be Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own, a thunderous version of Sunday Bloody Sunday, One and a heartfelt rendition of With Or Without You. I was expecting the second airing of Vertigo at the end but after an excellent gig I didn’t mind so much, 40 would have been better though! Overall a great night and I never thought they’d top Zoo TV with the visuals!
